New Friendship Society (NFS) is a Nepal-based non-government organization that is concerned for the welfare of children in need. Our primary focus is to run and support our orphanage: The Lotus Children’s Home.

Our knowledgeable staff have a special affinity for children. Our president, Laxmi Shrestha, was herself formally an orphaned child, and her life experience has proven an inspiration and invaluable to our organization.

We also partially support several other orphanages in times of need. Because we are a small organization, with little overhead, we are able to use our donations for what matters most – the welfare of the children that we care for. 

We believe that health, education, and a loving environment are the rights of all children, and that through raising healthy educated children, we are contributing to the development of all of Nepal.
