Welcome to the Lotus Children's Home website.

Lotus Children's Home is an orphanage founded in 2006. This non-profit organization ensures the welfare of orphans through basic needs such as shelter, warm food, and clothing. Education is encouraged and is most advocated as it will enable the children to take control of their future. This organization strives to encourage these orphans to become empowered and dignified in their daily lives. A network of support has been provided through the assistance of volunteers both locally as well as internationally. The children are our future and we thrive in the joy of the children, knowing that they are loved and taken care of.

Our knowledgeable staff have a special affinity for children. Our president, Laxmi Shrestha, was herself formally an orphaned child, and her life experience has proven an inspiration and invaluable to our organization.

Because we are a small organization, with no consistent subsidy of donors, we are able to use our donations for what matters most – the welfare of the children that we care for.

We believe that health, education, and a loving environment are the rights of all children, and that through raising healthy educated children, we are contributing to the development of all of Nepal.
